thanks for posting all of these neat old Pennsy photos they are a real treat.

I second Troy's comments. You've shared a lot of Pennsy steam photos from the mid to late 1950's, many views that I've never seen. THANKS!!!!

I like the perspective from the ground looking up.

Incredible. That one could still see sights like this that late is remarkable. Had traffic levels been better, we might have seen more P Company steam into 1958. Again, I kiss your ring, Godfather!

Love the bright red caboose top the right, up on the hill.

This was shot with my Konica F2a w/a 45mm f2.0 lens which I purchased in March '56. The optics were much improved over my previous cameras. It was recommended to me at my camera store in Newark as a replacement for my Bolseys. I was skeptical about the quality of my Japanese lens, which in that era was assumed to be inferior. This photo illustrates the folly of that belief. The caboose referenced in comment above are actually up on the right side of the hill to the left. They are property of the Raritan River which connected with the NY&LB at South Amboy.

Maybe one day 1361 and 3750 would be a possible doubleheader for the excursion fantrips!
