A question: would ore cars be loaded with steaming loads from the taconite concentrator - or the mine?

The processed ore pellets are baked at around 2400F and hold their temp quite for some time, so if there is moisture in the air (or snow in the cars) they produce ample amounts of steam in cooler weather.
