Please note that the points of sling attachment are where the drive motors are mounted to the frame of the locomotive. These large discs were where the connecting rods attached to the spooked drivers. I also notice that the connecting rods were attached to the counter weighted shafts between the pilot axle and the first drive axle. I believe this locomotive was test lifted and the rigging possibly was slightly modified. My reasoning for this statement is that as seen in this photo both pilot axles are off of the display track. The different lifting abilities of the two cranes is easily seen by looking at the reeving cables located between the boom ends and the hook blocks.
