Perhaps this wasn't it at all, but I had wondered with President "Bush 41's" health problems in the past week what the plans were for this engine (though I'm sure he'd have wanted it hard at work no matter what it might not have appeared respectful were our former Commander-in-Chief to have passed on with this locomotive somewhere out on the former Cotton Belt). Good thing GHWB apparently made a recovery and been discharged from ICU. Interestingly, from the thumbnail it almost looked as though this were one of the beautiful silver-and-blue RUMO/ALL diesels from Brazil, but I think those are all GEs.

I guess it was all ready to swoop down to Houston in case Bush I died. . .when he got out of the ICU, I understand it was quickly returned to the deadline in NLR.

To me, this unit is reminiscent of what a modern version of the Rock Island's bankruptcy blue could have looked like. Anybody else see that?
