Nice photo, George. Thanks for posting it. Glad to see you were out getting shots on a chilly Manassas evening.
One thing that bothers me is why Amtrak's trains are so often dirty. Compare this photo with the VRE train in photo 419118. The VRE train is stainless steel, too, but it appears to be clean and shiny. Why aren't Amtrak's trains clean, too? Don't they care about the exterior appearance? Even the high-priced Acela Express trains are frequently dirty, and as near as I can figure it, they see a servicing yard every night.
