Great shot. Thanks for posting. I'm guessing that he's coupling to his train. Look at the 15- and 16-car markers for spotting northbound arriving trains. It was that precision in train-handling that made PRR and other railroads have on-time performance. The passengers would be platformed in specific locations for boarding. The Engineer knew where to stop the train for each number of cars he had. The passengers detrain; the new passengers board, off they go. That's good railroading.
