Times (and managements!) do change. The Hall Shops was once practically the "Area 51" of the railfan world. In other words, notoriously unfriendly!

I know this is a couple years late, but I just noticed that the blue "Union Railroad" letters on the engine shop building - even though are blue - look like the folks were able to put their hand prints on those too! I know that the paint is peeling, but the paint freckles look like the hand prints on No. 12 from this angle.
