Wow! Thanks for the memories, Steve! As a pre-teen in 1961, my family and I went to Tennessee via Utah and Colorado vice the usual U.S. 66 trip. I remember seeing the Grande freight units in this color scheme and really liked it. I have hoped to see pictures of this scheme since that time in color, but I haven't until now. Thanks alot for sharing!
