wow ! Thank you for sharing this. Gets MY vote for PCA

Very, very atmospheric. I can almost feel the cold myself. PCA here, also.

Neat shot, if you have any shots of Santa Fe's El Pasoen I would love to see them.

Wow! Early morning winter blue is , probably, ome of my most favorite colors and to have a warbonnett in the picture too is a dream. Joe, you are definitely getting a PCA vote from me for this one.

Thanks, David, but in this case it is the evening blue zone, not morning.

I've been looking at photos on here for years, without registering. This one made me register so I could post a comment. WOW! The angle and the lighting make you feel like I am standing there. Awesome picture. PCA!

PCA for me. nice shot!

One can feel the cold in this photo. I was surprised to see that the photos was taken in Lubbock! Living up here in the Northeast, Lubbock just doesn't seem like a cold place!

Cole...good point. Lubbock is in the high plains of Texas which usually get snow each winter in some amount. What a hub for Texas passenger service Clovis used to be. In addition to the trains mentioned here, the Santa Fe had a Budd passenger engine/car of some sort which ran between Clovis and El Paso. My kindergarten class got to ride on it from Portales to Clovis and back. I still remember the little Budd pulling up next to big transcontinental service passenger cars...I was in awe.

Reminiscent of a Howard Fogg Christmas card scene!
|
Even if this photo gives cold, that tempts me all the same to be on the platform to contemplate her. Nice!
|
Beautiful night shot Joe. This would make a very beautiful Christmas card.
