Ely was one of the last stations on the Connecticut River line north of White River Junction in the 60’s that still had an open train order office. I recall that on several Budd RDC Alouette trips meeting the Southbound Canadian Pacific freight 904 near here. It was always great to see the operator out with his train order hoops giving our train safe passage northward. Thanks for uploading these shots of the great red units still operating in Vermont.
