We're stalled out on the hill DS! OK (with a heavy sigh) replies the dispatcher. The DS tells the crew to ring up the mechanical department to see if they can lend any pearls of wisdom to get the train moving again. What?!? Not on the MRL! Having two engineers aboard allows the crew some good old fashioned ingenuity over technology and these guys get the job done. I believe old heads would call such initiative RAILROADING!

Thanks for the comments! hemiadda2d, yep, this is Evaro Hill just east of Nagos (between DeSmet and Evaro).

If you read Tom's comments re. the loco. in the paint shop which was a "Top Shot" at the same time as this, it is exampled here. Two questions, what are the "m.u. cables" and why did that allow the train to make it to the top of the hill? (p.s. and why not with the cables in place?) Having said that, it is a great photograph.
