I think it was in the sixties that my dad told "The Central's going to drop the coal dock using dynamite". As soon as the word got out to the people living on the adjacent street there was an uproar about cracked and broken basements and foundations. My dad said if they place the charges just right, the people living on that street would not know it went down, unless the saw it go. Glad to see it's still there. I beleive the yard office must have been about where this photo was shot.
