This is sad. I hope everything works out for the employees and their families! May their future be bright and still continue on this Great Railroad!

Sorry for your loss...I know this was "your train" on your hometown railroad. Always sad to see history like this.

Thanks Dave. Too bad you never got the chance to get down here. Fortunately the freight ops are still running but who knows what will happen when the government finally succeeds in divesting everything. My wish is that whatever outfit ends up operating it still keeps the yellow and blue paint on the locos at least, although it'll now be an 80 mile drive for me to see them at the least.
