The B&M from the east portal to East Deerfield is one of the least mentioned scenic rail lines due to the passenger service there having been lost over a half century ago. This spot requires one to climb up a steep incline, or walk a mile or so trackside to reach.

I've been around, taking pictures on different railroads, but i have never found another mainline running through such gorgeous mountains and scenery than the B&M from Mechanicville to East Deerfield.
