Doing a search on this locomotive online, and it was involved in a crossing wreck in 2008! It looked more beat up then vs this photo! So much for lucky #7!

And I thought nothing could improve the looks of old Darth Vader.

Poor old girl.

I just HOPE the crew made it out OK.

It was repaired, a picture on RRPA showed that it was running 9/1/2012, just fine. Just bad luck I guess!

Phillip, I thought you gave up on RP due to too many rejections? Now top shot of the week?

Correct. This particular damage occurred Monday, September 10th, 2012, AMTK Train 89.

Wow the fibreglass nose section is almost completely gone! Everything else on the unit seems to be in good shape except for all the charring on the front

Which date is correct? One person posted it was repaired and runnign on 9/1/12 and another person stated it was repaired on 9/10/12. Which is correct? How did the crew fair in the collision? Where there any injuries from the auto impact?

Both dates are correct. AMTK 7 was wrecked previously and returned to service earlier this year after it was repaired. I had been running for a few months until it again was involved in a second major incident, as pictured in this photo.
