Lucas, are there any lines in Brazil where it is possible to run double-stack container trains? (Maybe, I'm wondering, on the new North-South railroad between São Paulo and São Luis, or the new East-West in Bahia which will link to the North-South? I don't know if either of those are being built with tunnels.)

Hello Jack! Yes, in a few lines recently built (from 1980) there is enough space on bridges and tunnels that allow the operation of double-stack system. An example is the Carajás Railroad. In the case of export corridor, where this train was photographed, the existing tunnels in the mountains, make operation of double stacks impossible. In fact, none of the railways of Brazil invested in buying this model of car, although he was offered by the same manufacturer that are shown in the photo.
