Great Shot! But this is at the Illinois Railway Museum, not the Illinois State rr museum. IRM is not state funded, it is entirely private donations and volunteers. Please change the location to match these so this great pic shows up when people look for IRM pics. http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?location=Illinois%20Railway%20Museum Thanks and keep up the great pics!

Hey, a roof, what a novel idea for a railroad museum. IMHO if a museum can't provide a roof for a donation they shouldn't have it. Goodonya IRM.

IRM currently has 9 buildings housing equipment. They will build more as money becomes available. There are currently 3 "yards" of uncovered equipment that will eventually be moved into buildings as they are built. While some complain about equipment outside "rusting away". It is better to at least have saved it from the scrapper's torch. Sheet metal can always be re-fabricated later. For a map of the grounds and other information including roster of equipment at America's Largest Rail Museum, visit http://www.irm.org
