They sure were NICE while they lasted, which was NOT near long enough. The way the whole Turbo "program" was mis-managed is almost "criminal." The taxpayers of NY State REALLY got taken in the long run. At least, that's how I see it.

I used to enjoy watching the turboliners when I lived on the upper west side of Manhattan back in the early 90s. The exhaust note from these trains was very distinctive.
