Fantastic shot, Ron, of a hardly ever seen railroad! In the summers, my parents and I would go to Tennessee to visit relatives. An aunt of mine lived in Lexington, and I would hear the passenger train go through about 10:30 - 11:00 pm. During the days my cousins would wander all over and sometimes make it to the tracks, but never saw a freight. Thanks for the memories!

Nice shot of a rarely seen railroad. I love the old tank cars in the train.

I somehow missed this photo when it was posted. I was just at this location two weekends ago. I hiked up to the north end of the tunnel, then hiked over the top to the south entrance and then down through Rockledge toward Tantallon. Interesting to see how it looked 44 years ago. Thanks Ron!

Simply amazing. I really got into railfanning while growing up around Chattanooga in the 80s and 90s, and this line from Wauhatchie to Nashville was always one of my favorites. It is great to see this "the way it's supposed to be!"
