Another nice pic, not sure exactly where you are at, I almost want to say it is Milby Street or Congress Yard. The KCS has never had a yard in Houston, this is probably Ex-Houston Belt and Terminal property.

Thanks Scott. You're probably right. It's Milby Street ... the reason for my conjecture is that KCS used to park/service locomotives here in the early-to-mid-90s (when I lived in Houston). I'd see 1-3 sets of locos back there on my (very) occasional drive-by, but it seems likely that they were just leasing the space/service from whomever.

Your right, Milby Street Roundhouse is run by Motive Power. Before the KCS built their yard in Kendleton, Tx they contracted with Motive Power to service KCS power at Milby, that is also where KCS crews went on duty in Houston before the yard at Kendleton was built. Milby Street Roundhouse was the HB&T main locomotive facility, back in the day they were the operating terminal of and serviced power for the Santa Fe, Rock Island & Burlington Northern.

I also just noticed you have Milby Street Facility listed in the location....Next time I will get some caffeine in my system before I start commenting on pictures lol
