Wow!
This is just ridiculously cool! I believe!
Looks great! I was just wondering if any CNJ "hood" unit ever was painted in these colors.
The VGN, Wabash and Jersey Central Units are going to look like something out of a 1950's Lionel catalog when they're coupled together to be shipped out of Muncie. Well done once again, NS.
It would be great to photograph this unit coming out of Oak Island,NJ.
This unit looks terrific. The only hood units painted blue and orange were the FM H15-44 road-switchers of 1950. They were in the "toothpaste" scheme, however, with two orange stripes along the top that later became the green and yellow scheme for all.
Cool!
Back in the day, would "CNJ" or "Central Railroad of New Jersey" have appeared somewhere on a unit corresponding to this one? Can't wait till CSX rolls out a unit in livery like B&O GP9s wore in the '50s. And maybe one day we'll see CSX's OCS fleet looking as it should, in Royal Blue with the gold piping.
WOW, much better than I thought it would. Hats off to NS!

Man, do these guys keep churning out the class acts or what.
Yes the Baldwin Double-enders carried gold lettering very similar to this.
I'm so impressed with the job NS is doing on these heritage units. This one needs to be MU'd with the old Jersey Central F3s.

My Grandfather worked for the CNJ all his adult life. My mother rode the CNJ all the time. But I have to say, while I appreciate the acknowledgement to the "Central" I really don't care for the orange and blue. Always preferred the green and gold.
This thing looks absolutely terrific ! The color scheme and styling works perfect on this unit.
This unit looks far better than I expected - well done, again, NS! Too bad this unit will hardly ever touch former CNJ rails unless it's at Port Newark or up in the Lehigh Valley. It would have looked great on the raised ROW through Dunellen, or coming around the West 8th Street curve.
