I love it! I never could get out of bed early enough to be in Johnson City to catch the eastbound (morning) run to Elizabethton (a long drive from my home in Virginia). This line is now abandoned, since all the rail-served industry in the latter community is long-gone. Check out the "merger" hoppers---N&W, plus NKP and Virginian. A year later and steam would be replaced by two RS-3s.

Thanks for sharing this bit of history. Any knowledge of which Southern unit 207 became? The tender with the 630 if fully sided! Great photo.
