What a beautiful family portrate. It is so sad that the Katy is no longer with us.

Great little railroad. I always liked to call them "the Soo Line of the South" becuase the whole RR had such a "family" feel to it. I'm glad I went down and shot them on a marathon railfan trip in '86 (or was it '85?) all the way from KC down to Ft. Worth. Sunshine every day, lots of trains, and nice, nice people on the Katy all the way, with a particular shout-out to the day shift Operator at Parsons, who was my line-up source everyday for about a week . Thanks guys!!
