Pennsy's Sharks were the only freight diesels delivered in the five pin stripe scheme, but most got the single stripe version when repainted. Some of the later BF16s were delivered in the 2000-series.

Sharky's machine - wow! What a catch. Wish I was "then".

Great shot. I can't figure where this was taken tho. The topography of Pitcairn and the Pittsburgh area in general has hills and valleys more severe than that shown here. I was raised just about 10 miles from Pitcairn in Irwin. Nevertheless, a wonderful trip down memory lane regardless the local.

This shot certainly is not Picairn (not hilly, there is no rail overpass at Pitcairn) and probably no where in the Pittsburgh area for the same reasons. Based on the topography and the large industrial building with accompanying ore pile, Ohio seems like a good guess. However, Ashtabula was reached by dedicated branch line to a coal port, so the mixed freight and multi track line makes me think that location is unlikely as well. Of all the locations suggested, Massillon makes the most sense. Its on the Fort Wayne Mainline, was served by several railroads (explaining the probably railroad overpass to the right and separate line to the left) and had several large industries.
