It is hard to believe that this type of scene really existed. This is a great historical shot as well as a work of art. The smoke all around adds that aromatic touch. Yet at the same time the Miss Liberty herald was calling us to breath free.

Nice 'n smokey, just like the steamers they replaced. I would bet the one on the far left is just a switcher. I didn't realize the coal dock was still there in '63. Thanks for the fine view.
