Posted by David Harris on May 26, 2012  I think they had reliability problems, but always wondered if main issue was limited number of Alcos on most roads compared to EMDs. When you see C420s (admittedly simpler machines than C630s) on A&M in 2012 taking heavy trains over a really tough line, you know these are pretty solid machines.
