Neat shot, Frank. There was a weak spot in front of my Loachapoka house that caused problems several times during my 12 years there. It was where Vinson Street had once crossed the RR. Wondered just where your shot was made.

More of a faulty weld than weather. I've seen the same exact thing happen in 90 degree weather while loaded cars (sulphuric acid) were rolling over a faulty weld. I just happened to be looking right at it when the rail snapped with a loud pop. I immediately stopped the movement and told the other crew members what happened. I still don't think they believe me to this day!
