Bombardier does put out some pretty disgusting looking locomotives. Looks like this one was designed by the GE P42 design team. Complete and utter lack of aesthetics, almost European in its ugliness. Nice capture though... :-)

Regarding the previous comment, I guess it's an "each to his own" thing, but I don't see anything less attractive with a streamlined body than the boxy hood look of our power. I'll grant you the paint scheme is a bit funky, but in reference to your comment, it is entirely a European look as the body is pretty much the standard electric and diesel body being used in Europe. The higher roof with all that equipment is a change for our side of the pond, and I agree, doesn't help the looks either.

Agree wholeheartedly with W.D. Shaw. That thing is beyond ugly. If it were not for the horns and the windshields, the thing would look more like a piece of rolling stock. Actually, the funky paint scheme is about the ONLY saving grace this thing has got goin' for it. Yikes!!!

Just looks like the technology leader it is... and of course it shares body styling with Bombardier's Traxx family of European electric and diesel locomotives. As for the paint scheme, it's in the colours of the province of Quebec (blue and white), just like the provincial flag. Beats NJT's scheme in my estimation.
