Two clean 6000-series Dash-2's is pretty nice power these days. You're lucky it's not one crusty 9500-series GE. I guess the direct hotline from the CP power desk over to the college dorm must have been off-the-hook. Oh well......

I think you all missed the point! I love the power on this train! Dont get me wrong I was very ecstatic about it. I was merely lamenting the fact that in a year where CP is undergoing major shakeups and a proxy battle, they might try to put some of their freshly rebuilt units on, especially considering everyone and their brother will see this train, including in many major shipper magazines. If this was the Missabe, Santa Fe or WSOR you can bet their shiniest units would have been at the helm. But the power is fine by me!
