The last Nickel Plate Road engine I saw climbing Horseshoe Cuirve was Berkshire 759, on two weekend fantrips out of Harrisburg, PA way back in the mid-sixties. The unassisted Berk, with about 12-14 "Congo" cars, was down to about a ten miles per hour, but I think the 8100 is most likely making track speed here.

Is this spot accessible to the public? I have been to the curve once and did not see a way to this location.

It would be cool to see the Conrail heritage on this curve. See it running on home rails!
