Incredible! Love the blue plow. Another winner, Casey & Norfolk Southern! Keep 'em coming!

Is it just my monitor settings - seems a touch of lavender in that blue.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Cannot wait to see this in person!

Okay, yeah, I will say it: there is some kind of mystery fitting a bit below front corner of cab side window and against all logic my brain keeps thinking "turn signal"!

That would be the Locomotive Speed Limiter light for operation on the North East Corridor. LSL is essentially the precursor to Positive Train Control (PTC.)

I hope NS realizes they installed the horn backwards 1 forward and 4 to the rear doesnt sound right in more ways that one

Awesome. What a nice color. The Norfolk and Western blue colors is so beautiful.

Beautiful. Definately my favorite so far. The scheme is so simple yet the blue is beautiful. I think the FRA reflective tape on the frame sets it off! Well done!

Love that color! The horn is installed that way on all GEVOs Tom.

Great work again, NS and Casey ... keep'em coming ... and thanks to everyone having a part in bringing this project together, true dedication!

I love blue engines. This and the Conrail engine would look awesome running together! Glad the did blue instead of N&W black.

Hey, maybe if they had used Imron and put a sill stripe on them we wouldn't have had to endure "Fishwicky Icky". CEOs beware, hewasn't necessarily a bad guy, but what is remembered for?

Regarding the horn configuration; perhaps they plan to run long hood forward just like the old days.

I'm SORRY guys, but everyone has an opinion, and personally I feel this is the "weakest" of the Heritage paint schemes planned or created to date. The black & maroon with gold lettering as used on the class J steam locomotives would have represented the "Traditions" of N&W BETTER than this "economy inspired" solid "dip"color scheme of the 1960s. As I said, that's JUST MY OPINION and it is NOT meant to take away from how great the whole "Heritage Program" is.

Living in AZ all my life NS has not been my favorite railroad however I love the fact that NS is showcasing a true heritage line. Not just special schemes like UP. I know I would have been in heaven if UP would have put out a scarlet and grey ES44AC! Give the people what they want!!

The heritage units are great! They keep getting better. I live in Roanoke so this one is the best.

These locomotives are looking great. Swing some through Decatur, Illinois! Especially when you roll out the Wabash unit since their HQ used to be here and there is still a Wabash Depot.

Sorry folks, 8099 still has my heart.

Also neat to see 6904, the fifth SD60E, i believe.

And the hits just keep a comin'!

She's a beauty..nice job Altoona !

Paint job is excellent -- however, its still a reminder of the motive power that killed the beautiful STEAM LOCOMOTIVES !! Ron Hash

OH NICE!!!!!! Im loving this. Its like Christmas trying to figure out which one is next! Love that they are getting them out and not screwing around.

As Mr. Foust said, the hits just keep on coming. Every photo I've seen of NW units prior to this showed dirty and beat up engines. This blue is nice and that gold lettering really pops out.

Beautiful shot!! I just have to ask one question though. Ever since NS started doing the Heritage Series they started with the Conrail number 8098 and every engine since then has gone up just one number Central of Georgias was 8101 and now Norfolk and Western is 8103. Which makes me think that heritage unit 8102 is out there somewhere.

I recall years ago, when folks were designing "Fantasy" schemes of fallen flags on modern locomotives....who knew that with this new Heritage program from NS, the fantasy would come true! Nicely done folks at NS.

The stickers all over the engine take away a few things but it is still a nice locomotive. It's heading my way this morning:D
