Is that N&W unit in the background part of the heritage lineup as well???

Most colorful and heritage filled day in Chattanooga in a while... All it needs is the 630!

NW unit belongs to the Virginia Transportation Museum in Roanoke. Has been repainted by NS for them.

Does anyone care about the 4610 being painted black anymore?

Beautiful! Thank you NS!

Great shot, the light on the undercarriage is very well done.

The N&W SD45 in the background belongs to the Virginia Transportation Museum and was repainted using grant money from Trains Magazine. It is their bicentennial paint scheme.

I haven't been this excited since the US Mint started issuing the 50 state quarters! BTW. Nice shot Casey. Next up try one of those x-ray shots like Anthony Dickson has done. Better hurry before they get dirty.

Top shelf shot Casey and NS. I like how the black on the trucks shines and the dual colors on the carbody look just stunning in this nite shot. Eagrly anticipating thr remainder of the heritage fleet.

Hey, now here's a REAL Southern "Belle" - ain't she beautiful!?! KUDOS to NS for rolling out their own (extensive) Heritage Paint Unit program!

Wow!! What an awesome looking paint job! Unbelievable - and to think that we are gonna have more! What was probably just a pipe dream for foamers has become a reality. Thank you so much, NS! Great shot, Casey! Talk about living the dream...it can't get much better than this. You are blessed!

Hands down, the best looking locomotive of the 21st century so far!

I heard about 4610 being repainted. The only railroads around me are the Atlantic & Western Railway and CSX. I hardly ever see NS & have never seen 4610 in that wonderful Southern paint. I guess I won't unless they repaint it in the future. But at least they got that paint on this engine. Thanks NS!

WOW! Christmas in March! That's the best looking paint scheme on the rails right now!!

For me, this is the most elegant and beautiful paint application on a late model locomotive. Excellent photo! Thank you NS! The Southern Serves the South!

You guys are beating us railfans to the punch. But we would like to see the 1776 posed with the 8099 as well!
