Both of these New York Central Geeps were built by GMD in London, ON for use on NYC lines in Canada. The 5820 was actually built as Chesapeake & Ohio 5722, for their own Canadian operations, and was among a group later sold to NYC. The basic differences between the Canadian units, and NYC's domestic Geeps, is they are set up for short hood foward opertion, have winterization hatches and ride on Dofasco-cast Blomberg trucks. Nice catch, Dave.
