While Los Angeles street cars were narrow gauge, their PCC cars had wide carbodies, with the result being their trucks were difficult to see, and moreso on a curve like this one. Because of that slim gauge, the LA cars also required unique, outboard sprung trucks with visible coil springs, that looked more like running gear for a rapid transit car. A sister car resides at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO.
