Had to do a double-take to find the train. This image is simply remarkable. Really gives one a sense of how insignificant man is against the wonder of nature. Something as massive and powerful as a coal train reduced to virtually nothing. Nick....you should be really proud of this one!

Brilliant! This image really breaks free of the norm and could easily fit in among the best side by side in a gallery. It's the anti-wedge. Way to go! Congratulations!

Wow! Stunning, and very inspiring! This is pushing the "bigger picture" idea to its limit. Love it!

I absolutely love this, Nick! A very powerful image that really just captures the area. PCA from me!

Congratulations Nick, on 3 counts: 1. for a fantastic picture, 2. for doing it in B&W, 3. for getting it accepted to RPN, I've had my share of rejected pictures because the train was too small and far away

Nice photo! But at first I couldn't find the locomotive.

Great shot Nick. Just a suburb composition and great use of scale juxtaposition.

Remarkable! I'm very grateful for this one making the cut, for it is ingenious and striking. Railway photography that successfully places a railway within the context of its environment, is so much richer for the effort. Beautiful work, truly!

One of the most amazing B&W photos on RP. And, wonderful composition in that one must hunt for the train amongst the massive towering landscape.
