NICE PHOTO! I am studying architectural history in my area and found that some guy named Ithiel Town built railroad bridges an formed a patent on his truss design in 1820. Two railroad bridges out of 12 in NH still stand and are being restored. They were built for Boston and Maine to connect the Concord and Claremont Rail.
