Fascinating series of photos, Walter. I was always under the assumption that the tyre was just a strip of metal, not the significant portion of wheel that it clearly is. Thanks for the education.

I was watching them remove a tire on a SEPTA bus and let me tell you, it was just no where near as fascinating. Great mid-air capture and superb series of photos from Cass - man.
