This would be near Alnwick and Wyoming City on the map, not Glen Alum. There are no roads within fifty miles of GA.

Incurable map addict that I am, I couldn't resist. Glen Alum is little more than a mine at the end of a branch. Perhaps Chase meant Glen Alum Junction, which is on the main line, but pretty hard to get to. There are few roads parallel to the NS main in this area, so my guess is that this train is passing Mohawk, and will be in Panther shortly.
