The view of the classic Pennsy right-of-way out of Altoona is sure changing its looks. Sure are some big pieces of machinery squeezed in there to so the work. Thanks for sharing this update.

Every railroad is different, at CN (my gang) we remove the old switch in panels and install the new one in panels (4 panels for a #12) (5 for a #20) and use 1 or 2 excavators! This usually takes about 5 hours with dumping ballast, and a lift. Thanks for sharing!

I didn't even know that a switch came in one big piece like that! Reminds me of model railroading!
