There has been so much talk recently about upgrading this line to "Passenger Standards". NOW would sure seem like the time to DO IT. WHY REBUILD to a LESSER STANDARD ?

RE: "rebuild the line to passenger standards". The reason would be because they are not rebuilding the line, they are going to fill in the washes and be done with it. When stuff like this happens, they dont go in and rebuild the line. They fill, ballast, tamp and they are done with it. ESPECIALLY cash conscious short lines.
