Worth it? Absolutely! If you get up early, stay up late, get tired, dirty, hungry, and thirsty, you can get some great photos.

Worth it? YES!! Late evening sky, firebox glow, glimmering rails and a steam locomotive...an outstanding combination. Steam is king (to me anyhow) and is worth viewing anytime. Sometimes there are situations where a camera shot is just not possible. But remember this, you always have old reliable with you....your memory! I have put the camera down in the past because of darkness, but the steam images I saw 25 years ago are still clear in my memory today (however you can't visaully share those images with others). Make sure you give Jess a treat for me!
