WOW ! A TRUE CLASSIC that transcends to the level of ART. Everything in this photo just works so well together, the low angle of light and mists of early morning, the vintage wooden boats, the glass-top fuel pump on the dock, a veritable time capsule. No doubt, my choice for PCA. THANK YOU for sharing this one.

The city is technically South Amboy, NJ. The train is heading north over the Morgan Draw across the Cheesequake Creek. A search for Morgan Draw yields two present day views of the same bridge. Quite a difference though. Thank you so much for sharing!

Great shot. That would be the Morgan Drawbridge in Sayreville, NJ.

I was going to comment, but need to go scrape my jaw from the floor first - fantastic.

Note the Texaco Marine pump on the dock.

The train may be Pennsylvania RR, but it is on the New York & Long Branch RR. You could have taken a picture twenty-five years later and very little had changed. The big change came in 1982, with the start of electrification. Jeff Christie

Nice shot! It portrays a part of the East Coast few not from around here think of - namely the tidal flatlands of Jersey, Delaware and Maryland and Virginia's Eastern Shore.
