Wow, that is spectacular!

No one said anything about Rainbows! Great shot, Kevin!
|
Awesome shot, Kevin. You didn't find the pot of gold, but I think this makes up for it.
|
Thanks, Walter! In my eyes, Eureka IS the "pot of gold" at the end of this rainbow. There is really nothing else like her left in railroading. After watching this little 22-tonner pull these heavy wood and steel cars end-to-end on a challenging line like the old Silverton Branch, you can't help but just stand there and admire this wonderful machine and all of the folks down through the years who built, maintained and ran her. Thanks so much to Dan Markoff and his most excellent crew for continuing to share her with the fans.

Wow. Just wow.

One lucky little engine? Heck...you are one luck photographer! Nicely done Kevin...you have officially made me (and everyone else on RPN I think) jealous!
|
Im at a loss to why no Screeners choice, Should get POTW hopefully. Very nice image Kevin, bit of luck involved, but still very nice and well processed. Lee

I'll bet the night photo shoot later that night didn't and couldn't top this scene! While the significance of the rainbow is mentioned in the Bible to Noah and his Ark that God wouldn't flood the Earth again, it sure also looks good behind an American class locomotive as well! Good job!

Great shot, great opportunity also.

Kevin... I couldn't agree more with ALL the comments above!! I believe your fantastic photo should have been given a Screener's Choice, and why it didn't leaves me scratching my head. A PCA vote from me and hopefully it will make POTW. Great capture, Kevin!!
|
Congratulations on the PCA, Kevin. Nicely captured!
|
Congratulation! Rare locomotive and nice rainbow - good mix!
