Not sure how they'll get it upright without having it just slam down onto the ground once it gets past the tipping point.

Actually, Erick, I was surprised at just how smoothly they handled that locomotive. They just eased it back onto the tracks, rearranged the equipment, and re-railed the wheels. The process barely made a sound. The only sounds I remember were the diesel engines on the lifting equipment and the motor drives on the newspaper photographers' still cameras around me. (See my other photos from this day for a wider shot showing more of the equipment.)
