I had read that space was becoming a park, sad to see it in that shape now. Really nice photo.

The area to the left is a park, Fed Ex facility and brand new $400 million high school. That is where the rail classification yard was, and it has indeed been reused. The empty space is the old engine facility, which the City of Los Angeles wants donated. I would guess UP is waiting for an exemption from groundwater contamination before giving the property away for $1
