It's great to see a Fallen Flag paint scheme applied to a deserving road switcher.

The 8524 looks great, but it would be nice if the D&H "look" was completed with gray pilots, plows, trucks and fuel tank... and blue lettering, of course.

It LOOKS as if they've got a LOT of work to do if they're going to roll those domes at any speed greater than a walking pace.

Most of the track is much better then this short section here which has not been used much since 1989 and has some dirt run off from the road right here. Corinth to Saratoga is very good shape as are most other sections of track. There is some work to be done for sure.

Actually, that track is in very good shape. Last summer they were zipping right along (under previous operators). The rail is very heavy, having carried ore trains of titanium and magnetite out of Tahawus until 1988 or 1989. The line was actually in pretty good shape when it reopened in 1998 after a decade of not being used.

What could have been....anyone remember the Suzy Q B-40's used during their takeover of the D&H in the late 80's? We now now know what they would have looked like IF they were given the D&H treatment.
