The second unit in that consist has spent time working hard on both coasts of the U.S. Former EL SDP45 (without the steam generator, just a slab of concrete) was used to run intermodal between Croxton Yard (Secaucus, NJ and Chicago). Transferred to Conrail, VMV? then to SP and on to Uncle Pete. A unit worthy of preservation!
