From the start of the approach to the bridge to just slightly south of the Erlanger, Ky. Depot, was and still is the ruling grade on the C.N.O. & T P for south bound trains. In the Southern Railway steam powered fan trip era The 4501 required helpers up the hill. The helpers normally were a pair of SW-1500s.
