Just looking at all the photos of the ARR in Whittier, Alaska - and seeing how they receive railcars from the lower 48 by barge from Seattle, Washington - it makes me wonder how many rail cars and important cargo has been lost into the North Pacific due to storms and rough seas causing a mooring/anchor weight to break loose, or a barge being buffeted by the heavy sea and sinking/capsizing? I wonder - if one was able to go down and walk along the ocean floor, what you might find in some of those lost rail cars? (If there are any down there!)
