This RS3 is one of two Delaware & Hudson units (4075, 4082), that were traded to the B&M for two B&M RS3s (1508, 1536) equipped with steam generators. They were used on the post-Amtrak, revised version, of the then-New York State-sponsored Adirondack, while the D&H PAs were being remanufactured by Morrison-Knudesen. The B&M renumbered the D&H units into vacant numbers in their RS3 series. Spotting features are the single bulb headlight, where B&M had twin sealed beams, and the dynamic brake, the grid for which appears on the short hood roof just above the number board.
